Overview of the Facilities
The Mexico Center relocated in October 2008, to the Bosques de las Lomas corporate zone in Mexico City. The floor provided by the Marvins consists of 6,684 square footage of office and meeting space. Specifically, the Center includes a formal reception area, a secretarial area, three offices for Mexico Center staff as well as a guest office and three offices reserved for potential Texas A&M entities interested in forming a service agreement with the Center. Furthermore, the Mexico Center contains one large multi-use meeting room for up to 50 people and a smaller multi-use meeting room that can be divided into two separate spaces for a total of 30 people. The Center also has a kitchen, a computer and break area for visitors, and a separate office which houses the Center´s digital scanner for historical materials. The Mexico Center offers rearrangeable furniture for meetings and events as well as state-of-the-art meeting equipment including three smart boards and projectors, a smart board plasma screen, a simultaneous translation system for up to 20 people, microphones, video equipment, two videoconference systems, and wireless network connection. The Mexico Center´s telephone lines, internet and videoconference service connect to the TTVN network through a Telmex (Teléfonos de Mexico) E-1 line and Mexico´s Consortium for the Development of Internet (CUDI). |
