News   August 6, 2007: Digital Imaging Diabetes Research Laboratory Meeting On August 6, Dr. Steve Liu, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Dr. Gabriel Carranza, Director of OLAP, and Ms. Tere Hurtado, Assistant Director and General Manager of the Mexico Center, attended meetings in Saltillo and Monterrey related to the Mexico Center's Digital Imaging Diabetes Research Laboratory. The group met with Dr. Rafael Chorne and Dr. Miguel Alvarez, who have both been working on the validation of the digital imaging diabetes equipment designed by Dr. Liu. During these meetings, the group discussed new research findings as well as toured laboratory facilities in Saltillo and Monterrey where the equipment has recently been tested.
