On September 26th, the Mexico Center held the Texas A&M Youth Agriculture Symposium, which included the participation of students, parents, and teachers from two schools in Mexico, Williams and Green Hills. As part of the World Food Prize Youth Program, students prepared essays on the topic of "Biofuels: Promises and Implications for Food Security in Developing Countries" and presented them to a panel of judges. The panel consisted of renowned experts from this field. Thirteen students along with their advisory teachers presented an essay at the symposium. One student from Green Hills School and two students from Williams School were selected to participate in the World Food Prize Youth Institute, which was held in Iowa in mid-October. |
