October 1-6, 2006: Central America Undergraduate Informational Trip
Texas A&M University administrators and staff traveled to Panama, Costa Rica, and El Salvador to provide information about the University to prospective undergraduate students. A trip to provide prospective graduate students with information about the University is planned for February 2007.

May 11-12, 2006: Visit of President Martin Torrijos of Panama
President Torrijos was elected as President of Panama on May 2, 2004. His Excellency is a Texas A&M University Alumnus. On May 12, 2006 His excellencey gave a Commencement Address for the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Science.

February 16-19, 2006: Central American Aggie Summit in El Savador
Sixty Aggies from Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua met with Texas A&M University administrators and faculty and with staff of The Association of Former Students, to identify ways in which Texas A&M University and the Association of Former Students could help the Central American Aggies, and how the Central American former students could help University.
