Purpose of the Mexico Center
 

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the Texas A&M Center in Mexico is to serve as a centralized point of contact in Mexico for the promotion and support of Texas A&M University's dedication to education, research, and outreach. The Mexico Center also helps to bring together individuals from Mexico and Texas A&M for the generation, acquisition, and exchange of knowledge that fosters technology, security, and economic development while building long-term lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and enchanced mutual understanding.

Activities

Activities at the Mexico Center have included the following:
  • Faculty development seminars
  • Orientation sessions for study abroad programs
  • Student leader seminars
  • Meetings for faculty members
  • Seminars, workshops, and training courses in different topics, including distance learning, economics, history, politics, quality management, wood products, environmental auditing, food safety and quality issues, and many others
  • Receptions for individuals from the business sector, government representatives, faculty, students, and alumni
  • Aggie Muster ceremonies
  • Aggie Club reunions
  • Trade missions
  • Internship programs for Texas A&M students
